Rune Larsson's Bio (Sweden)
Expertise: Endurance Sports Nutrition / Ocean Rowing

Rune Larsson has done what most of us would never even dare to dream of: he is the only person to have run across the U.S.A. In On the 21st of April, 2004, Rune set out from San Diego on foot with just a stroller, and no support crew trailing him. 82 days 3093 miles later he reached the Atlantic shore.

One of the world’s best extreme distance runners, he has been inducted into the Sparthathlon Hall of Fame after a record number of wins. The Sparthathlon is widely recognized as one of the toughest courses in the world, starting in Athens and ending in Spartha, Greece.

He has run non-stop, a distance of more than 250 miles between Nagoya and Kanazawa, Japan and in 1998 successfully completed the Westfield Run, 620 miles between Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. In 2001 he was the first Swede to row Across the Atlantic in 2001.

Rune served with the United Nations peace keeping forces in Egypt in the late 1970's. Rune is also an author and lecturer on the mental barriers of the human mind. He is a popular motivational speaker at large corporations

Pavel Rezvoy

Expertise: Boat Building, Equipment Preparation, Navigation / Ocean Rowing

At 67 years old, Pave Rezvoy is the oldest rower in the history of ocean
rowing.

A geologist by profession, biologist by interest, machine-gun/radio operator
by serving in the Navy Air Forces, engineer of the vastest profile by life
necessity and experience; fisherman, hunter and ocean rower by obsession.

In 2004 Pavel (then 65) rowed from La Gomera to Barbados as an entrant in
the Ocean Rowing Society Atlantic Rowing Regatta and arrived second in the
solo class, only 2,5 days after the 23 years old winner. But it appeared to
be not enough for a passionate adventurer. After successful finish in
Barbados (61 days) and becoming the oldest ocean rower in the world, he set
his next goal and rowed on to Cuba, and then – Jamaica.

In 2005 Pavel became the third person in history to ever row across the
Indian Ocean, from Cocos Islands in Australia to Seychelles; and the third
person in history to ever row two oceans solo.

In 2004 Pavel was awarded Best of ExplorersWeb Special Mention and got this
award again in 2005 –that was the first repeat of an award winner.

By now Pavel has served, repaired and re-equipped numerous ocean rowboats.
Nowadays he is one of the best specialists in equipping ocean rowboats – a
lucky combination of professional technical knowledge and personal ocean
rowing experience enabled him to work out the most optimal decisions, based
on demands of safety, reliability and convenience of living onboard a tiny
ocean vessel, going across an ocean.
